Whiskey Wednesday #6 Frisco Sour

Now this is following suit with the cocktail in last weeks 'Whiskey Wednesdays', The Boulevadier.
So here is a new segment called: "Drinks I am surprised people don't know."
I was even more surprised when I looked it up the Internet is riddled with blogs / articles about--

The Frisco Sour

2 oz Cyrus Noble Bourbon (Born in Kentucky and raised in San Francisco...perfect.)
1 oz Bénédictine
½ oz lemon juice
¼ oz lime juice

Shake well with ice and double strain in to a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist.

This is fair representation of the recipe versions that are found all over, but I am going to tell you a secret--I just use lemon juice. It is correct to split the juices, but if you don't it looks like this:

The Frisco Sour

2 oz Cyrus Noble Bourbon

1 oz Bénédictine
1 oz lemon juice

Doesn't that seem to make more sense? Plus adjusting the size is now a matter of simple math... Smaller glass 1 1/2 Cyrus Noble, 3/4 Bénédictine, 3/4 Lemon Juice . . . Want to make a batch? 2:1:1
