Whiskey Wednesday #1 Cyrus Noble

Cyrus Noble is born in Kentucky, aged there initially after being distilled in small batches from the traditional mash bill / recipe that dates back over 140 years. After it has fully become Bourbon, Cyrus Noble is sent to San Francisco to finish its aging and there it rests until it is matured to perfection to proudly carry the historic family name.
The aromas of this whiskey begin at toffee, apricots stewed with brown sugar, shaved baking chocolate, vanilla, roasted nuts, spice and a myriad of lavish oak minutiae. The scents begin to reveal the key to this whiskey—equilibrium; the moment you start to focus on one smell, you are attracted to another.

The flavor starts by demonstrating the aromas building to include candied ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg while never challenging the fruit notes and creamy vanilla sweetness.

The finish is a simple, pleasant reminder of the supple spice, treacle, vanilla and creamy caramel that drifts, leaving you with a distinct desire to have another taste.

Cyrus Noble is soft, supple, excellently drinkable whiskey; it is smooth and easy from the first sniff to the last sip and everywhere in between!
Try it neat, with a splash of water, on ice or in a spirit forward cocktail.

Don’t forget to tune in next week for ‘Whiskey Wednesday’ and I will post a cocktail or 2 featuring Cyrus Noble Bourbon.
