Tequila Tuesday #4 Garland for the Thoroughbred . . .

So this drink was a whimsy--that turned out fantastically.
So good in fact I rearranged my Tequila Tuesday to showcase this beverage.

It started as a have before and into dinner beverage, but it may have turned into a few; here it goes:

Garland for the Thoroughbred . . .
See that is a fun picture!

2 1/2 Oz Purasangre Blanco
1 1/2 Oz Fruit Lab Hibiscus Liqueur
1 Oz Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Dashes Bar Keep Chinese Bitters

Shake with ice and strain into 2 large cocktail glasses,

top up with sparkling wine (as usual, I used Cristalino--those guys should mail me a couple of cases...).

Garnish with a thin slice of lemon floating.

What is with the name? A a garland is the ornamental braid or blanket of flowers adorned on a horse when they when a race, or competition. Purasangre translates to "Thoroughbred". . . Why make 2? Because really, no one can ever win alone --and as 2 the measurements are way easier to read!
